Balloons for Toddlers is a game for preschool children. No registration is required. The app does not collect children’s names or contact details, location, photos, or voice recordings. We use our own analytics to understand how the game works, without third-party advertising or analytics services.
What data the game collects
The app automatically sends the following to our server:
- Usage information. Screens opened, worlds and characters selected, modes used, time spent in the app, and aggregate counts of balloon interactions. We do not collect tap coordinates or screen recordings.
- Settings. The game and system languages without region information, and whether music, sounds, and vibration are enabled.
- Technical information. The app and operating system versions, device type — phone, tablet, or Mac — and event times. We do not collect the device model.
- Random installation and session identifiers. These help distinguish installations and count launches and return visits. The installation identifier is stored in the app and sent to our server with events. It does not contain the child’s name and is not an advertising identifier or device serial number.
A new identifier is created after a regular uninstall and reinstall. Restoring app data from a backup may also restore the previous identifier.
Why we use this data
We use it to support the internal operation of the game and service: to measure usage and return visits, understand the popularity of worlds and characters, plan improvements, and check that analytics work correctly. The developer can review individual events to diagnose technical errors.
Identifiers are not used for advertising, contacting a child, or building a personal profile of a child. We do not combine our analytics with other companies’ data. The server stores only a predefined set of information, and only the developer has access to the analytics.
IP address, hosting, and security
When the app sends events or someone visits this website, the web server receives an IP address. It is stored in service logs to protect against attacks and diagnose problems, separately from analytics, and is not combined with game events.
Game events, service logs, and database backups are stored on a rented server in Russia. Data is transmitted over a secure HTTPS connection. The hosting provider supplies the server hosting. We do not sell data or share it with advertising or analytics companies. Data may also be disclosed if required by law.
How long data is kept
- Game events: 14 calendar months after the server receives them. This allows us to compare game usage across seasons and from year to year. Expired events are deleted automatically during daily cleanup.
- Database backups: no longer than 30 days. After events are deleted from the main database, they may remain in backups for up to another 30 days.
- Service logs containing IP addresses: up to 15 days. They are then automatically deleted.
How to stop data collection
Uninstalling the game stops events from being sent and removes the installation identifier from the device. Data already sent is deleted automatically according to the retention periods above.
You can contact the developer with questions about data collection and deletion. Game events are not linked to a name or email address, so we cannot use those details to locate them.
Developer and policy updates
The game’s developer is Iaroslav Tutushkin. Contact: balloons.app@mail.ru
If you contact us by email, we receive the sender’s address and the message contents and use them to respond. Closed support correspondence is deleted no later than 6 months after the last reply.
If the data we collect or the way we use it changes, we will update this page and the date at the top before those changes take effect.
